I like media. I like a nice dinner and a generous glass of red wine better, but I haven’t figured how to make a living with either of those yet. So, I like media. I like planning it, negotiating it, and sometimes drinking a venti Americano at 10pm because I’m still working on it.
My journey into the often dizzying realm of media planning, buying and measurement began innocently enough—a communications degree from the U of C and a desire to parlay that into a means of supporting the aforementioned dinners and wine. But after seeing target-audience media habits and spend-weights transformed into the exciting executions and billboard locations that make our clients’ phones ring, I don't like media…I kinda love it.
